Another Million Automobiles In Another Toyota Recall
There is another Toyota Motors recall that has been announced. This time, it’s really three recalls in one. A month without a Toyota recall will be a victory for the company at this point. This recall isn’t as massive as previous recalls. This time, just over 1.5 million autos are affected. The first recall, of over 1.3 million vehicles concerns a possible defect in the braking system or the fuel pump. Yet another Toyota recall, of an innocuous 130,000 vehicles, is in effect for brake drums which can very easily rust. Looking towards yet another recall for Toyota
Toyota Motors has announced that they are recalling upwards of 1.53 million automobiles worldwide. The braking system might have a defect in it. The models impacted, based on ABC, are the Toyota Motors Highlander, Avalon and the Lexus GS300, IS250 and IS350. The master brake cylinder seal may be defective. Brake fluid leaking would occur if the master cylinder seal cracked. The leak in brake fluid can lead to a warning light and a possible loss in brake pressure. There are 740,000 vehicles within the United States impacted by the brake cylinder recall. There haven’t been any accidents within the cars. There were not any linked to the leak anyway.
Toyota recalling in other cases as well
Toyota is also recalling 130,000 cars in China because of a defect in the rear wheel disk brakes, which could possibly rust. Japanese automobiles are being recalled as well for a fuel pump defect. This is affecting 600,000 vehicles. The fuel pump can have a possible electric fault, which can cause the automobile to stall. That defect is so far only thought to be in automobiles in Japan, based on the brand new York Times. What if it is my automobile?
Toyota will be mailing out notifications to owners. The recall only involves certain model years. These are from 2004 to 2005. This has not been a good year for Toyota Motors. Recalls do not have to happen although Toyota Motors is apparently having lots of problems keeping them preventing this year.
